Since I was a child I have been drawn to the animals - all kinds of animals.  They are all beautiful in their own way.  I would often take Vickie, our beagle, into the utility room, sit with her on the floor, and talk to her.  She would sit on my lap and look at me with those big black eyes as if she understood every word I said.  Little did I know at the time that just maybe she did understand me. I believe that animals are truely our best friends.

I once went with a friend to visit a psychic.  She told me that an "R" would be very prominent in my life.  Of course, at the time I thought she was referring to my husband.  It wasn't until several years later that I understood that "R" was Reiki! 

In order to practice Reiki on animals, I first had to learn how to give Reiki to people, and then chose to branch out from there.

I believe that I have been drawn into this work that I love so much by divine destiny. (I use the word "work" losely because something you love so much could hardly be considered work.)  We all love our animals, large and small, and to be able to help them feel better is a blessing for me.

When I became a Reiki Master I also seemed to activate my ability to see, feel, and hear what has happened to the animal in the past.  It is often scary or sad, but I am able to relay that information to the person to help them understand their animal better.  Rather than being an animal communicator, I am an animal intuitive.

Currently I live in the country between Fayetteville and Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with four pomeranians, a Yorkie, a Terrior Mix of some sort, a one-eyed rescue cat, and my husband (who puts up with all of us).

I am a member of O.R.I. (Ozark Research Institute) and Lightcasters, who sponsor a variety of programs to enable people to learn more about the power of the mind.

All of my Reiki training was through Karen Harrison, who is licensed to teach through the International Center for Reiki Training, and I can trace my lineage back to Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki.  My Animal Reiki training was completed through Kathleen Prasad, who is well known for her recent book entitled "Animal Reiki".
